AUDTT4USB - Setup Instructions

Choose the Relevant Setup Guide

There are two possible setups for using Golden Records Vinyl to CD converter to convert your vinyl records or cassettes to CD or mp3. Just select the setup guide relevant to you from the list below.

Setup Guide for USB Turntable or Direct Turntable Connection

Hardware Requirements

A - USB Turntable or standard record player.
B - A Stereo RCA to 3.5mm Stereo cable,
C - OR a Stereo RCA to Stereo RCA cable with a Stereo RCA to 3.5mm Stereo Adapter,
D - OR USB cable from USB turntable (this is usually supplied with the product).
E - Desktop or laptop computer with a sound card.
F - Optional CD burning drive (for saving recordings to CD).
G - Golden Records Vinyl to CD conversion software.

Setup Guide

  1. Make sure the record player is switched off.
  2. Using one of the cables described in B or C above, connect the record player to the sound card's Mic-In port. If using a USB turntable (requirement D above), connect the turntable to a spare USB port on your computer.
  3. If using a USB turntable, Windows will automatically detect the hardware and install drivers for it. It will also add the turntable as a separate audio recording device on your computer (you can find it in the Control Panel -> Sounds section). The turntable will be ready to use at this point, but you should always read the turntable manual to ensure the product has been installed correctly.
  4. Download and Install Golden Records onto the computer.
  5. You are now ready to convert your vinyl records!
