P. I receive a "cannot allocate channel" message.

A: Check to see if there is any other tapi-based software using your tapi channel. If there is, disable it and try again.

P. The software does not detect the CallURL card.

A: To fix this problem open a DOS prompt, then change the directory to the TAPI driver CD and execute "(CD drive):\Voice\Winnt\DEVSETUP WAVE".

P.The phone line is always shown as busy.

A: Re-learn the Call Progress Monitor tones using the "Line Detector -> Settings -> Call Progress Monitor" window.

P: I installed the CallURL board's drivers and I can no longer see my soundcard's drivers.

A: In some models of PCs the BIOS is pre-set to only support the "first" found PCI Audio Device.

The CallURL Voice Board is a "Voice Device" so when it has been detected the BIOS won't look for the "on-board" sound device (Note, on-board sound device is treated as PCI device, but scanned later).

In some cases you can go to CMOS BIOS setting, and look for something like "Advance PCI Peripheral Setting". In Audio Device change the setting to "Enable" instead of "Auto" to allow the on-board audio also been detected.

The actual details differ depending on the PC make and model as the BIOS settings can be different. You may need to check the PC manual or contact the supplier.
